Rooftop Power installs residential and commercial solar, battery storage, EV chargers, standby generators and roofing across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. We are headquartered in Warwick, Rhode Island, and we run our own in-house electrical and roofing crews rather than subcontracting the work out.

That one-team model is the whole point. The people who design your system are the same people who pull the permit, install the array, meet the inspector and answer the phone when you call two years later. Across three states we have completed more than 3,000 installations, and every one carries our own licenses and our own name.

Because each state has its own utilities and its own programs, the solar math looks a little different depending on where you live. Rhode Island runs on Rhode Island Energy with net metering plus the Renewable Energy Growth and Renewable Energy Fund programs. Massachusetts is served by Eversource, National Grid and Unitil with the SMART program. Connecticut is served by Eversource and United Illuminating with the Residential Renewable Energy Solutions program.

Rooftop Power runs one in-house operation across three states, but the solar math is not identical from state to state, because each one has its own utilities and its own incentive programs. That is the single biggest reason a local installer beats a national one: we know which rules apply on your street, not in general.

In Rhode Island, every home is on Rhode Island Energy. You net meter your surplus at the retail rate, or you choose the Renewable Energy Growth performance tariff instead, and qualifying projects can tap the Renewable Energy Fund grant. In Massachusetts, homes run on Eversource, National Grid or Unitil, they net meter, and the SMART program pays a per kilowatt hour rate on production for ten years, with the rate set by the block open in your territory. In Connecticut, the Residential Renewable Energy Solutions program replaced net metering with two tariffs, Netting and Buy-All, and picking the right one materially changes the outcome.
